Kronick joins the Green Terror staff for the 2018 season, returning to his alma mater.
Kronick will be involved with the daily management and operation of the program. He will also serve as associate pitching coach, with a focus on player development.
A 2016 graduate of the College, Kronick was a four-year pitcher for the Green Terror. He was a weekend starter on the staff for the final three years of his career.
As a senior, the captain helped lead McDaniel to its best season in program history with 31 wins and a trip to the second round of the Centennial Conference tournament. Kronick led the team with a program-record 78 2/3 innings pitched and a program-record 98 strikeouts, which ranks third in Centennial Conference history.
At the conclusion of the 2016 season, Kronick was named Centennial Conference Pitcher of the Year. In addition to being the only unanimous selection to the conference first team, he was named first-team all-region by both d3baseball.com and the ABCA. He was also recognized as a first-team All-American by the Jewish Sports Review.
He ranks in the program's top five for career appearances, games started, strikeouts, shutouts and saves. He is also top 10 in wins and innings pitched.
Prior to returning to McDaniel, Kronick worked at Sauce Baseball in Schenectady, N.Y. as a pitching coach and throwing instructor. While there he worked with numerous high school and collegiate baseball players at the Division I, Division II and Division III levels.
