WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel scored seven runs in the third inning to break a 3-all tie en route to a 14-6 win over Penn State Mont Alto in non-conference baseball action on Wednesday.

Antonio Rosanova (Laurel, Md./DeMatha) led the Green Terror (10-12) with four hits, three stolen bases, three runs scored and two RBIs in the victory.

Landon Richards led the Lions (10-14) with a 2-for-2 day off the bench.

A Rosanova single, groundout, stolen base and throwing error staked McDaniel to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first.

In the second Colin Franke (Highland Mills, N.Y./Cornwall Central) led off the second with a double before scoring on a Sam Brustad (Silver Spring, Md./St. John's College) one-out single.

Brett Anderson (Wilmington, Del./Tower Hill) singled home Mike Dunn (Lanham, Md./DeMatha) for a 3-0 lead with two outs.

A Jeremiah Younker two-out triple cut the deficit to 3-2 in the top of the third before an error tied the game.

With one out in the bottom of the inning, Tom Daly (Haddon Heights, N.J./Haddon Heights) singled to start a seven-run inning.

Griffin Mahon (Rockville, Md./St. John's College) doubled home Daly to break the tie.

A two-out hit batter and walk followed by a two-run Anderson single and two-run Kasey Nelson (St. Pete's Beach, Fla./St. Michael's [Md.]) double stretched the lead to 9-3. Evan Finch (Laurel, Md./St. John's College) followed with a single of his own to score Nelson and cap the frame.

A Nick Jacoby double, wild pitch and sacrifice fly closed the margin to 10-4 in the fifth.

McDaniel tacked on one more in the fifth and two in the sixth to push the lead to 13-4.

Two walks, back-to-back singles and an error allowed Mont Alto to score two in the eighth to make it a 13-6 game but a Rosanova double, stolen base and throwing error set the final margin.

Anderson, Nelson, Daly, Franke and Brustad had two hits each.

The Green Terror returns to action at Washington (Md.) on Friday. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
