Twenty-three McDaniel College student-athletes have been named to the 2014 Centennial Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll, announced recently.

Three earn All-CC baseball honors
Three members of the McDaniel baseball team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference team. Marshall Betts earned first-team honors while Joe Fiore was named to the second team. Marty Windisch was tabbed as an honorable mention.

Marty Windisch recorded three hits to lead the Green Terror. Gettysburg built a 6-0 lead before staving off a McDaniel rally to record a 6-4 victory.

Fiore notches four hits in split
Joe Fiore notched a pair of hits in each game to lead the Green Terror. After Ursinus took a 6-3 victory in the 10th inning of game one, McDaniel rallied for a 3-2 victory in the nightcap to forge a split and keep it playoff hopes alive.

Weather postpones baseball
Due to the forecast for rain, McDaniel has announced that its Friday Centennial Conference baseball game at Gettysburg has been postponed to Sunday at 2 p.m.

Brad Hampton led the Green Terror with two hits, an RBI and a run scored. Gettysburg scored two runs in the top of the first and never trailed en route to a 8-3 victory over McDaniel.

Joe Fiore, a senior, has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for the week of Apr. 14-20.

Fiore notches six hits in split
Joe Fiore led the Green Terror offensively with six hits on the day, recording a pair of three-hit outings and adding four RBIs in the opener. The Green Terror took the opener 7-3 before Swarthmore took the nightcap 12-6 despite being outhit, 16-13.

Pisauro throws five innings of shutout relief in win
David Pisauro came on in the fifth inning for the Green Terror and went the rest of the way on the hill, striking out four and allowing just two hits to pick up the win. McDaniel scored seven runs in the first two innings before holding on to defeat Dickinson, 7-5.

Valori notches three hits in win
Nick Valori led the Green Terror with three hits, including an eighth-inning home run, and drove in four runs. McDaniel scored four runs in the top of the sixth to overcome a 3-1 deficit en route to a 6-3 victory over Dickinson.

Windisch goes long three times in split
The Green Terror took game one 15-2 behind a program-record three home runs from Marty Windisch before the Fords salvaged a split with two late runs, 8-6. McDaniel broke out the bats, notching 30 hits in the doubleheader split at Haverford.

Bahr notches three hits in victory
Cameron Bahr led a 12-hit attack for McDaniel with three hits, including a two-run double in the bottom of the seventh. Three days after losing on an extra-inning walkoff on its own field, McDaniel earned a season split with Johns Hopkins, 5-2.

Cameron Bahr led the Green Terror with two hits and two RBIs. Playing as the home team on McDaniel’s field, Johns Hopkins broke a 3-all deadlock in the bottom of the 12th inning to notch a 4-3 victory.

Kronick throws shutout to key sweep
The Green Terror took the opener 11-0 behind a complete-game, seven-hit shutout by Zach Kronick before getting back to .500 in conference play with a 3-1 win. McDaniel pitching limited Franklin & Marshall to just one run while the offense racked up 14 runs and 22 hits in a sweep.

Sean Sivo led the Green Terror with four hits, notching two base knocks in each game. Muhlenberg scored a single run in the top of the 10th inning in the opener and carried that momentum to a doubleheader sweep of McDaniel. The Mules took the opener 3-2 before completing the sweep, 4-0.

Joe Fiore recorded three hits, including the two-run double that proved the difference for the Green Terror in the top of the eighth. Marty Windisch added his first career home run. McDaniel scored five runs in the eighth inning to overcome a 3-1 deficit and defeat Washington (Md.), 6-4.

Logan Seitz led the Green Terror with a 2-for-5 day with two triples, adding three RBIs. Marshall Betts added a pair of hits in four at bats. SUNY Plattsburgh scored all 13 of its runs over the final five innings to overcome an early 7-0 deficit and defeat McDaniel, 13-8.

Nick Valori led a 14-hit attack for the Green Terror with a 3-for-6 day. A two-out, bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 13th inning turned a 5-4 deficit into a 6-5 victory for SUNY Fredonia over McDaniel.
