Marty Windisch led the second-seeded Green Terror with three hits and an RBI. Waynesburg pieced together four runs over the first five innings en route to a 5-2 victory over McDaniel in the championship game of the 2013 ECAC South baseball tournament.

Marty Windisch recorded four hits to lead the Green Terror, who rapped out 19 hits on the afternoon. McDaniel scored multiple runs in each of its final four at bats to rally for a 14-9 victory over Penn State-Abington in the semifinals of the 2013 ECAC South tournament.

McDaniel will host a 2013 ECAC South Region baseball championship tournament semifinal game on Wednesday at Preston Field. The second-seeded Green Terror will take on third-seeded Penn State-Abington at 2 p.m.

Three members of the McDaniel baseball team have been named to the All-Centennial Conference team. Zach Jones earned first-team honors while Marshall Betts and Pat Christopher were named to the second team.

Jones Ks 10 for strikeout record
Behind Jones’ complete-game, 10-strikeout effort, the Green Terror took the opener 5-3 before completing the sweep of Ursinus 8-1 to reach the 20-win mark for the second straight season. Marshall Betts led the offense with a six-hit twinbill, adding five RBIs.

Pisauro fans career-high 11
David Pisauro did his job, striking out a career-best 11 in 7 2/3 innings of work and James Chiorello shut the door, retiring the final four batters he faced for his first save of the season. McDaniel scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to break a scoreless deadlock to defeat Gettysburg, 5-2.

Joe Fiore and Pat Christopher recorded two hits apiece to lead the Green Terror, who will need three wins over the weekend to keep its diminishing conference playoff hopes alive. Gettysburg plated two runs in the bottom of the sixth to break a1-all deadlock and defeat McDaniel, 3-1.

Jonathan McKinney led the Green Terror with two hits. A two-out single in the ninth inning gave Dickinson a 3-2 win over McDaniel.

Windsich records six hits, five RBIs
Marty Windisch led the offense for McDaniel, recording six hits and five RBIs. McDaniel scored seven runs in the fourth inning of game two to forge a doubleheader split with Swarthmore. The Garnet took game one 14-9 before the Green Terror won 12-4 in game two.

Marshall Betts led the Green Terror with two hits, including an eighth-inning home run for some insurance. McDaniel jumped out to an early 7-1 lead before staving off a Dickinson rally for a 9-6 victory.

Marty Windisch recorded one of the two hits for the Green Terror, unleashing a sixth-inning triple before scoring his team’s lone run. Johns Hopkins, ranked fifth, plated seven runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break open a 3-1 game and defeat McDaniel, 10-1.

Cameron Bahr led the Green Terror offense with three hits. McDaniel rallied from an early deficit in game one en route to a split with Haverford. The Green Terror rallied from an early 2-0 deficit for a 3-2 win in the opener before the Fords plated four runs in the top of the 12th inning to forge the split, 7-4.

McDaniel got a pair of complete-game efforts from its two starting pitchers to key a doubleheader sweep of Muhlenberg. James Chiorello went the distance in game one, fanning nine in a 2-1 victory. Zach Jones struck out four in a 3-0 shutout.

Brandon Hayward led the offensive charge for the Green Terror with a 3-for-3 day at the plate, adding three RBIs, two runs scored and three stolen bases. McDaniel scored four runs in the first inning and never looked back en route to a 23-2, seven-inning victory over Penn State-Mont Alto.

With two on and two out in the top of the eighth, Pat Christopher blasted a shot over the right-field fence for his 146th career hit, breaking a tie for the McDaniel career record and capping a 9-0 victory at Washington (Md.).

With his third hit of game two – an eighth-inning single to center field – Pat Christopher tied the career record with 145 hits, leading McDaniel to a doubleheader split with Franklin & Marshall. The Diplomats took the opener 6-2 before the Green Terror took game two, 10-4.

Cameron Bahr recorded two hits and an RBI to lead the Green Terror in a game that featured 20 combined hits and 33 base runners but 19 runners left on base. Rutgers-Camden built a 4-2 lead through four innings en route to a 5-3 victory over McDaniel.

Pat Christopher led the Green Terror with three hits in the twinbill, including a pair of knocks in the 4-3 opening-game win. McDaniel took game two, 1-0. A four-run sixth inning propelled McDaniel to a game-one victory and a single run in game two gave the team a sweep of Worcester State.

Senior Zach Jones threw McDaniel’s first no-hitter in nearly 12 years to lead his team to a doubleheader sweep of Penn State-York. The Green Terror took the opener 10-0 before completing the sweep, 14-2.

McDaniel staved off a sixth-inning game-two rally to earn a doubleheader sweep of St. Mary’s (Md.). The Green Terror took the opener 6-1 behind a 10-strikeout, complete-game performance by Zach Jones. In game two, McDaniel completed the sweep with an 11-6 win.
