Christopher becomes hits leader
Pat Christopher earns the male athlete of the week honors after leading the baseball team to a 4-1 week, hitting .389 on the week.
Christopher became the program's all-time hits leader in the process. With his 146th career hit – a three-run home run in the eighth inning on Thursday at Washington – he broke a tie with Russell Coover '10 for the all-time hits lead. He finished the week with seven hits, including the home run, five runs scored and four RBIs. He also drew four walks and was hit by a pitch for a .522 on-base percentage.
For the season, Christopher is hitting .367 on the year with a team-high 33 hits. He also leads the team with two triples and two home runs. He also has 19 runs scored and 13 RBIs.
